Professor Cox,
I will be teaching physical education in secondary education-high school. Even though, most of the time, by this age, students know what they need to eat and do to keep themselves healthy and fit, many don't do it, and are therefore unhealthy, unfit, and many times-not happy.
1) http://hp2010.nhlbihin.net/menuplanner/menu.cgi (http://www.uen.org/7-12interactives/health.shtml)
I chose this one because it would be a great way for the students to keep track of their diet. It would help them to see how bad they are eating, or maybe surprisingly, how well they're eating. We're not used to seeing(in calories, fat, etc.) what we eat, so I think it would help them be more dedicated to eating right, if they were able to keep track, and really see what they're eating, how many calories it is, and how it's affecting them.
2) http://www.fitness.gov/10tips.htm (http://www.uen.org/utahlink/activities/view_activity.cgi?activity_id=14759)
What a more simple way to help your students then giving them ten simple tips that they can look at everyday that will help them to eat right and stay active and fit. This is something they could judge at the beginning of the semester, and then judge again at the end of the semester-to see where they're at, and how much, and where they've improved. They could also see how much better (or worse) they feel, physically and emotionally. These tips (and this website) give ways to have fun and eat right, while still having fun while you're doing it.

It may seem goofy why I chose this last resource, but I feel this website could be used for anyone (of any age). You have the opportunity to take a stress test. At the end it gives you a short summary of where you're at, but also what you need to do to be less stressed; (which being lessed stressed means being more healthy! The quiz really makes you think-think of where you're at in life, and what's really making you happy, and if it's healthy. The main thing I liked about this website(resource) is it gives you some chill tips(connects you to the website), and a game(s) to help you to decompress. Now, it may sound silly, but I took it, and really enjoyed it. If I, as a college student would enjoy it, I could help my high school students do the same, and help them realize how important it is to try and not get stressed.
